Thomas Quilty

Chief Executive Officer

Thomas (Tom) is the Chief Executive Officer for BD Consulting and Investigations Inc. and works on developing new business opportunities for the corporation. Tom has a strong background in risk management through his experiences in the military, law enforcement and as head of BD Consulting and Investigations Inc. Tom's law enforcement career spanned more than 25 years, including almost eight years with the FBI React High Technology Crimes Task Force. While at the Task Force, Tom had the opportunity to see firsthand the issues and potential solutions to many of the Brand Protection, Intellectual Property, Data Security, Supply Chain and physical security problems faced by the high tech, manufacturing and software industries. Tom has assisted corporations and law firms understand the issues related to Data Breach planning and response.

Tom's experiences in the investigation of federal and state high technology crimes, and experiences working with the Secret Service, Department of State, and other law enforcement agencies give him a unique perspective on high tech crime, especially those involving Brand Protection and Data Breaches. Tom's broad range of experience in managing risk has made him a valuable asset to his clients in the areas of Brand Protection, Due Diligence for a Merger or Acquisition and other unique situations. Tom has been consulted by corporations, schools and law enforcement for recommendations on minimizing the risks of a data breach, theft or loss.

James Keith

President

James Keith. James (Jimmy) is the President of BD Consulting and Investigations, Inc. and oversees the day-to-day operations of the corporation. Jimmy has a strong background in assessing and managing risk from his 32 years of law enforcement. Jimmy has worked with the Secret Service, Department of State, Russian and other foreign security services in protecting visiting dignitaries. Jimmy has experience in preparing federal and State of California cases while working with US Customs, DEA and the FBI's Joint Counter-Terrorism Task Force. Jimmy managed and supervised the dignitary protection unit of the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office. As a Lieutenant, Jimmy supervised the Sheriff's Office Civil and Warrants Division and liaison with the local federal and state Superior Court.

Jimmy has conducted numerous site security surveys throughout the Bay area, including residences, churches, sporting events, hospitals, colleges and corporations. Jimmy has personally protected many presidents, including Presidents Ford, Carter, Reagan, Bush Sr., Clinton and Bush Jr. Jimmy has also protected many Vice Presidents and visiting Heads of State to the Bay Area. While a Captain assigned as liaison to Stanford University Department of Public Safety, Jimmy assisted with risk assessments and risk mitigation for events and dignitary visits as well as conducting site security surveys for the Stanford University Hoover Institute, Law School and the Stanford Hospital. Jimmy has presented numerous times to corporations, banks, and organizations on the dangers of Data Breaches and the importance of having a Data Breach response plan. Jimmy is known as being a person who gets things done in a friendly, efficient manner.
